Since beginning play in 1961, the Minnesota Vikings have won 21 division championships, made 32 playoff appearances and played in four Super Bowl games (1970, 1974, 1975 and 1977). The team’s 32 playoff appearances are the sixth-most among NFL teams.
In recent years, the Vikings have reached additional benchmarks that include executing the largest comeback in NFL history when they defeated the Colts in overtime in December 2022, as well as Head Coach Kevin O’Connell becoming the first coach in team history to have multiple 13-win seasons.
The Vikings drafted J.J. McCarthy 10th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, marking the earliest they have drafted a quarterback in franchise history.

The Minnesota Vikings and U.S. Bank Stadium were ranked as the best in “Overall Gameday Satisfaction” in the 2024 “Voice of the Fan” NFL-wide survey. I was pretty aprehensive while I walked towards the stadium after the debacle of the Senior Bowl held in Phoenix last week hoping that the Vikings would be at there very best on Sunday. Well all my worries were put to not as the Vikings over powered the Bengals. Both sides of the ball worked very well and Mr. Winfield provided some very great moments to the game. A poster of him doing his pushups after missing an easy throw right into his hands would be a super buy. Keep up the good work guys and we will cheer you all the way to the Super Bowl
Very professionally conducted event. People very friendly, and event was top notch.
It was absolutely epic... just amazing. However, the metrodome is seriously lacking in the jumbo-tron department, that would be a huge added bonus.
The atmosphere in the Dome is great, and it was awesome to see Favre run this unreal offence in a year where they should win the Superbowl!
WOW, that was the best NFL experience ever! 118th consecutive sell-out game! Vikings rock, and Vikings fans rock!
This was the most Amazing game we--(My husband and Son) have ever seen. Will definatley be coming back. Thanks for the best experience of a life time.
to evenly matched teams both had their moments good and bad plays but the last 5 minutes were fantastic ---VIKINGS WON
By far the best game of the season so far. What an amazing ending, touchdown pass to win it with 2 seconds to go.
Arguably one of the best games I've ever seen besides last year's Superbowl game between the Steelers and Cardinals. Plenty of excitement with a quick first quarter touchdown, field goals, turn overs and hard hits Watching Brett dance around in the pocket on 40 year old legs like nobody else's business totally solidifes the fact that he's still got it and he brought it that Sunday afternoon. But of course when you think the game is all but lost with only 0:02 seconds left in the game here comes Brett throwing up a hail mary with laser precision for the game winning TD. Classic Brett Favre, shame to all who didn't see it coming. Anybody who says he's past his prime needs to check themselves. He's back and he's proving he still has game.
The 49ers in Minnesota in what was supposed to be an Adrian Peterson vs. Frank Gore showdown, was a fantastic game. Despite Gore's injury very early in the game, there was plenty of action to enjoy, with a phenomenal catch with TWO seconds to go for the home team's victory. The atmosphere in Minneapolis is simply awesome. I bring more and more people every year so they can experience this.
This was my first NFL game and I cannot believe how exciting it was .. Viking fans are pretty amazing.
What can I say. Brett Favre touchdown pass with 2 seconds left to win the game. Can it get any better?
We were in the twin cities for the labor day weekend (from Canada) and were pleased to see that the Vikes were in town and so were the Cowboys! It would be our first NFL game. The excitement was at a high level as we took in the pregame entertainment and especially as we entered the metrodome and took our seats. The big disappointment was that we saw no first string players from either team. No Favre, no Romo, just a bunch of no names fighting for jobs. The Vikings didn't even play many of their 2nd string players. I speak only for myself as my 14 yr old son had a great time. We were happy with a high scoring game but not a lot of spectacular plays. Hope we have better luck next time.
This was my first time going to see a Minnesota Vikings game. It was an unbelievable experience. The crowd was so hyped - it was a lot of fun!!!! The Vikings won which made it that much better!!!! The metrodome was massive. Way better than an outdoor stadium!!! I would definitely recommend this event to anyone!!!!
